My kitchen is nested in a 1922 brick duplex in midtown Memphis, Tennessee. My plates are plain white and the food on them tends towards international flavors. I rarely follow recipes, my counters get covered every time I cook, and I will take savory over sweet any day (or hour). I was born in the Northeast, raised in the Midwest, and adventured South for college where I have since happily put down roots with my southern husband. My kitchen is certainly not traditionally southern, but I confess I have spent time perfecting pimento cheese and I am in search of the perfect tomato pie.
